A Paleontologist Reflects on Science and Faith

Huntington, Ind. " Dr. James Farlow, Professor of Geosciences at IPFW, will address issues of faith and science at Huntington College on Monday, December 6 at 8 p.m. in the Student Venture Auditorium of the Brenn Hall of Science. The presentation is the third of the 1999-2000 Forester Lecture Series at Huntington College. Dr. Farlow is nationally recognized for his work in paleontology. He is the author of a highly touted book, The Complete Dinosaur (Indiana University Press, 1997). This year Dr. Farlow has been honored for his academic accomplishments by being selected as the Indiana Academy of Sciences Speaker of the Year.
Professor Farlow is also a thoughtful Christian who understands the ideas at the root of the evolution/creation conflict. In this multi-media lecture, Dr. Farlow will examine these issues and will prompt his audience to think more deeply about the intersection of faith and reason.
Huntington College presents the Forester Lecture Series each semester.
