Alumna recognized as Primetime Volunteer of Year

Huntington, Ind.-Fort Wayne's Primetime Community Center has recognized Chynna Wright, an alumna of Huntington University, as the 2009 Primetime Volunteer of the Year. Wright was given the honor at the 4th Annual Primetime Celebration Banquet on April 18.

"Chynna was selected to receive the award because of her dedication and service to the youth that participate in activities at the Primetime Community Center," said Arthur Wilson, City Life director for Youth for Christ's Primetime Community Center in Fort Wayne. "Chynna has inspired the lives of many young women through her testimony and faith in Jesus Christ. She also has sacrificed personal vacations and resources to assist in trips and activities to minister to the youth of the Primetime Community Center."

Wright serves as an education advocate for the YWCA of Fort Wayne. In her role, she travels to high schools and middle schools and speaks about domestic violence, healthy relationships and setting boundaries. In addition, she also speaks about domestic violence to various adult groups. The YWCA serves six counties, including Allen, Huntington, DeKalb, Noble, Whitley and Wells.
