Asa Swan re-elected President of Student Body

Huntington, Ind. " Asa Swan, a senior history major from Campbellsville, Kentucky, has been re-elected Student Body President of Huntington College for the 1998-1999 school year. In this role, Swan will also act as President of the Student Senate.

Swan is an active member of several other student organizations, including the Huntington College Concert Choir, which traveled to Florida on a spring break performance tour earlier this year. Swan is also a member of Joyful Noise, the chapel praise band of Huntington College, which performs on campus and in regional churches. Swan was also recently seen on the stage as Bosun in Huntington College Theatre's production of Return to the Forbidden Planet, "Shakespeare's forgotten rock n roll masterpiece."

His summer plans include working for eight weeks as a counselor at Camp Michindoh in Hillsdale, Michigan, and traveling to different parts of the United States to visit relatives. He will return to Huntington College in August to resume his duties as Student Body President. Swan will also serve as a mentor for students transferring to Huntington College for the coming fall semester.

Founded in 1897, Huntington College offers graduate and undergraduate programs in nearly 50 academic concentrations. The Christian liberal arts college is located on a contemporary, wooded campus in Huntington, Indiana.
