Baehrens to perform senior recital

Huntington, Ind.-Stephanie Baehrens, a soprano, and Huntington University senior from Oak Harbor, Ohio, will perform her senior recital at 7:30 p.m. on April 18 in the Longaker Recital Hall of the Merillat Centre for the Arts. Baehrens is a sociology major who has studied voice with Dr. John Thompson and Professor Joni Killian while at Huntington University. Last year, Baehrens was chosen to participate in the Annual Longaker Honors Recital and will perform in the Annual Concerto Winners Concert this year. She has participated in the concert choir and opera workshop.
Some of the pieces Baehrens will perform are "Steal Me, Sweet Thief" from "The Old Maid and the Thief" by Menotti, "Come Scoglio" from "Cosi fan tutte" by Mozart, "Four Poems of Edna St. Vincent Millay" by Lekberg, "Widmung Op. 25, no. 1" by Schumann, "Gretchen am Spinnrade" by Schubert and "Non mi sprezzar" from "La Caduta dei Decemviri" by Scarlatti.
The recital is free and open to the public.
