Bandfest 2004,  An American Tribute, open for registration

Huntington, Ind. " The 25th Annual Band Clinic, An American Tribute, sponsored by the Huntington College Music Department, will be held on Saturday and Sunday, March 27-28, 2004. The clinic will begin Saturday at 9 a.m., with lectures, demonstrations, small group practices and full band rehearsals conducted by special clinicians-in-residence composed of professional military and civilian personnel. A Saturday luncheon with the guest clinicians is planned for all participants. The event will culminate with a Grand Concert at 3:30 p.m., on Sunday in the Zurcher Auditorium of the Merillat Centre for the Arts. Priority seating tickets are available and free upon request.

The bandfest weekend is specially designed for high school musicians and their directors, but instrumentalists of all ages interested in sharpening their performance skills are invited to participate. For registration information, contact the Huntington College Music Department at (260) 359-4262. Registration is open until Friday, March 19, and the fee is $30. Clinicians will be available for all band instruments, and participants are guaranteed to have an unforgettable musical and educational experience.

High school students are invited to stay overnight at no expense in the College's residence halls. Simply request this option on the application form. Those opting to stay on campus will be the guest of a current Huntington College music student.
