C. Ray Miller to discuss “town and gown”

HUNTINGTON, IN --- The Huntington College Foundation will hold its monthly breakfast meeting on Wednesday, January 8, 1997, in the Habecker Dining Commons. Dr. C. Ray Miller, chairman of the College's board of trustees, will share his personal view on the close relationship between the College and the community.

Miller has observed relations between "town and gown" for the past half-century. He completed his AB degree from Huntington College in 1951, earned his Master of Divinity from the Seminary in 1955, and completed his Doctor of Ministry degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 1974.

He faithfully served the Church of the United Brethren in Christ for two decades as a pastor, and for an additional two decades as a bishop. From 1961 to 1993, he was a member of the denomination's Board of Missions, serving as president for most of those years. He has been a college trustee since 1977 and is presently chairman of the board.

The public is cordially invited to attend. Breakfast will be served at 7:45 a.m. The program will conclude by 9:00 a.m. The cost of the breakfast is $3.50 per person. First-time guests are not charged. For further information, call Kay Schwob at 260-359-4089.
