Cheri Keaggy to perform at MCA

Huntington, Ind. "With the release of her debut album in 1994, Cheri Keaggy embarked on an award-winning career in contemporary Christian music, receiving three Dove Award Nominations and producing hit radio singles. Keaggy will be in concert at Huntington College on Friday, February 4, 2005. The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m., in the Zurcher Auditorium of the Merillat Centre for the Arts. The public is cordially invited to attend. General admission is $10, while students and seniors receive a $2 discount. The concert is underwritten by The WBCL Radio Network.

Keaggy's musical career began as a worship coordinator for her local church. After writing the song You, Oh Lord Are My Refuge, her music found its way to Nashville and sparked her debut album, Child Of The Father (1994). Keaggy's first album earned her a Dove Award nomination for New Artist of the Year and launched an inspiring musical career. Since then, Keaggy has produced four more albums and currently performs at churches and conference venues around the United States.

My writing comes out of a personal relationship with the Lord, says Keaggy, in an interview with Food for the Hungry. That's my whole worldview-Christ in me. So my songs come from that place of humility, that place of looking not at myself, but at Him and all He's done.

Join Keaggy for an uplifting evening of energetic pop numbers to emotion-laden ballads that will explore the hope of God's unfailing love, faith and grace in concert at Huntington College. For more information, contact the Merillat Centre Box Office at (260) 359-4261.
