Christina Watson to perform Senior Recital

Huntington, Ind. "Christina Watson, a choral musical education major at Huntington College, will present her senior recital on Saturday, December 11, at 3:00 p.m. The performance, held in the Longaker Recital Hall of the Huntington College Merillat Centre for the Arts, is open to the public with free admission. Watson, a native of Chambersburg Pa., has taken piano lessons for fourteen years and currently studies under the direction of Dr. Patricia Spedden, director of piano studies and theory at Huntington College. During her college career, Watson has performed with the Huntington College Handbell Ensemble and the Huntington College Concert Choir, both as a member and accompanist. As a clarinetist, Watson has performed with Huntington College Wind Ensemble and has been an orchestra member for various opera and musical theatre productions, including The Impressario, Pirates of Penzance, and Oklahoma! Watson also has served the Huntington community as the choir accompanist at St. Peter's First United Church of Christ
Watson's senior recital performance will include the selections Prelude and Fugue in B Major by J. S. Bach, a duet with senior Drew Wutke in Sonata in D Major for Four Hands by W. A. Mozart, In Der Nacht by Robert Schumann, Concert Etude No. 3 Un Sospiro by Franz Liszt, and Nocturne by Samuel Barber.
