Coffman featured in two Indiana art exhibits

Huntington, Ind. "Rebecca Coffman, assistant professor of art, currently has two exhibits on display in Indiana. "Spirited Vessels," a solo art exhibit featuring a variety of her work, is open at Indiana Wesleyan University until January 30. An artist reception and gallery talk will take place on January 16, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Indiana Wesleyan University. Coffman is also a part of a larger exhibit on display through February 27, at Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne. A Sense of Identity: Contemporary Ceramic Art, features 32 of the Midwest's most influential ceramic artists. The exhibit will then move to the University of Indianapolis to be on display from March 6 " April 16, as part of The National Council on Education of the Ceramic Arts 38th Annual Conference.
Coffman serves as assistant professor of art at Huntington College. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in ceramics from Hardin-Simmons University and her Master of Fine Arts degree from Texas Tech. She is a member of a number of professional organizations, including the College Art Association of America, Christians in the Visual Arts, and the National Council on Education of the Ceramic Arts.
