Congressman Souder to speak at monthly breakfast

Huntington, Ind. " The Huntington College Foundation will host its next monthly breakfast on Wednesday, December 8, 1999. U. S. Congressman Mark Souder (Indiana " Fourth District) has been invited to provide a legislative update. Representative Souder was first elected to Congress in 1994 after working for U. S. Senator Dan Coats for ten years. Currently, Souder's House committee assignments for the 106th Congress include the Committee on Government Reform and Insight, where he is Vice-Chairman of the Subcommittee on National Security, Veterans Affairs and International Relations, and a member of the Subcommittee on Criminal Justice, Drug Policy, and Human Resources. Souder also serves on the Committee on Education and the Workforce Subcommittee on Early Childhood, Youth and Families, and the Subcommittee on Post-secondary Education, Training and Life-Long Learning. In addition, Congressman Souder is a member of the Committee on Resources Subcommittee on Fisheries Conservation, Wildlife and Oceans, and the Subcommittee on National Parks and Public Lands.
The public is cordially invited to attend. Breakfast will be served at 7:45 a.m. in the Habecker Dining Commons. The program will conclude by 9:00 a.m. The cost of the breakfast is $6 per person. First-time guests are not charged.
