FOR RELEASE: Tuesday, March 15, 2005
Huntington, Ind. "The Huntington College Theatre Company will present John Patrick's Curious Savage from April 7-9, 2005. Admission is $8 for the general public, $4 for seniors and students. Directed by David Shamburger, assistant professor of theatre arts at Huntington College, Curious Savage portrays Mrs. Savage, a widow who has been left $10 million by her husband. Her grown stepchildren desire to have the money, and knowing that the widow's wealth is in negotiable securities of which they cannot get a hold of, the stepchildren commit her to a sanatorium hoping to bring the widow to her senses. This high comedy will leave the audience with a feeling that the neglected virtues of kindness and affection have not been entirely lost in a world that seems motivated at times only by greed and dishonesty.
