Dennis Hanson receives award at national convention
Huntington, Ind.- Dennis Hanson, a junior physical education major from Peru, Maine, was nominated as Outstanding Major of the Year. Awards will be presented during the national convention of the American Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance in Reno on April 7, 1998.
Hanson also took part in the association's Midwest regional leadership conference at Pokagon State Park in northeast Indiana. Approximately 500 professionals and students gathered from the six-state area including West Virginia, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio and Indiana. Hanson was selected to represent Huntington College as a Catherine Wolf Student Award Winner at the association's statewide conference in Indianapolis. He was one of 17 students studying in Indiana to receive this award.
