Digital media arts program presents awards

Huntington, Ind.-Huntington University's digital media arts program hosted its Spring Showcase on May 13.

This event is a screening of student productions. All digital media arts students in animation and live action had the option to submit work to be featured. Students' work was divided up into categories including animation, live action and senior projects. Once those projects were shown, awards were announced followed by a special raw and unplugged segment.

Winners include the following:

• Josh Addessi, a junior from Canton, Ohio, honorable mention in the 3D Environment Category
• Ryan Barger, a junior from Warsaw, Ind., Technical Director of the Year
• Ryan Bernard, a senior from Fairborn, Ohio, Outstanding Music Video for "Boom Whacker"
• Noah Blackwell, a junior from O'Fallon, Mo., honorable mention in 2D Computer Animation Category for "Edward Blake"
• Alicia Bonham, a senior from Upland, Ind., Outstanding Music Video for "After Hours"
• Jimi Bonogofsky, a junior from Montgomery Creek, Calif., honorable mention in the 3D Environment Category, recognized for 3D Illustration: Independent Study for "Circus," Junior Best Animation Project for "I Think I Might Be"
• Joel Bullis, a sophomore from Bel Air, Md., honorable mention in the Stop-Motion Animation Category for "Hoverboard"
• Ben Doege, a sophomore from Columbia City, Ind., honorable mention in the Stop-Motion Animation Category for "Animator"
• Jason Eberly, a junior from Fort Wayne, Ind., First Place Live-Action Film for "Nero Bloom," Outstanding Music Video for "After Hours"
• Katie Eder, a freshman from Onsted, Mich., honorable mention in the Animation I Category for "Troll Stop-Motion"
• Sandy Hartle, digital media arts assistant from Huntington, Ind., Best Animation Project
• Nathan Hartman, a junior from Berne, Ind., First Place Live-Action Film for "Nero Bloom"
• Peter Heneveld, a junior from Whitmore, Calif., honorable mention in the Animation I Category for "Clay Lip-sync," honorable mention in the Flash Animation Category, honorable mention in the 3D Character Animation Category
• Colleen King, a junior from Clarksburg, W.V., Best Animation in the Motion Graphics Category for "Bird," Best Short in the Stop-Motion Animation Category for "Girl with Cat," Junior Best Animation Project for "I Think I Might Be"
• Sarah Krzynowek, a freshman from New Hartford, Conn., honorable mention in the Animation I Category for "Clay Lip-sync"
• Kelly Lacy, a junior from Anderson, Ind., Best Film in the Motion Graphics Category for "Cool Beans," Outstanding Music Video for "Time Lapse"
• Curtis Little, a senior from Savona, N.Y., Best Puppet in the Stop-Motion Animation Category, Overall Award in the 10-Second Animation Category for "Man Cleavage"
• Andrew Martin, a sophomore from Eaton, Ohio, honorable mention in the 3D Character Animation Category
• Pete Molinero, a sophomore from Potsdam, N.Y., honorable mention in the 10-Second Animation Category for "Love at First Sight," Best Puppet in the 3D Character Animation Category
