Dr. Peace to attend ATE annual meeting

Huntington, Ind. " Dr. Terrell Peace, chair of the Department of Education at Huntington College, will attend the Association of Teacher Educators (ATE) annual meeting in Denver from February 1-6. Peace, a member of the national board of the Association of Teacher Educators, will meet with the Board of Directors on Friday, Saturday, and Tuesday.

Dr. Peace assumed his position on the Board of Directors for the Association of Teacher Educators in February 2001. He has, however, been involved with the association for the past several years. He chaired the ATE Learning Styles division from 1995-97, and served as a member of the national planning committee as well.

As the liaison between the board and the meetings committee, Peace will also serve as the consultant to the Special Functions Committee this year.

Before joining the Huntington College Education Department in 1998, Peace taught at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas, where he was an Associate Professor of Education and chaired the Foundations of Education department. In addition to university teaching, he has taught K-6 math and science and is currently seeking certification at the secondary level.
