Dr. Robert Lynn to perform tuba recital

Huntington, Ind.-Huntington University's Faculty Artist Series will present Dr. Robert Lynn, assistant professor of music, in a tuba recital at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 21 in the Zurcher Auditorium of the Merillat Centre for the Arts. A reception will follow the recital. Lynn will be accompanied on the piano by Dr. Debora DeWitt, associate professor of music, from Manchester College. He also will perform a tuba duet with Bruce Lemar of Huntington, Ind. Ben Thompson, a senior percussion performance major, will accompany him on the drums.
Lynn earned his Bachelor of Science degree in tuba performance from William Jewell College in Liberty, Mo., his Master of Arts degree in tuba performance from Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo., and his Doctor of Arts in tuba performance and music theory from Ball State University in Muncie, Ind. Lynn taught at Huntington University as an adjunct instructor from 2000 to 2006 when he was hired as a full-time assistant professor of music. He also has taught at Manchester College in North Manchester, Ind. In addition, he currently serves as choir director at North Manchester United Methodist Church.
