Dunlap, Coon named Homecoming King and Queen

Homecoming King and Queen Ryan Dunlap and Leah Coon
Huntington, Ind. " The Huntington College student body crowned its Homecoming King and Queen during an evening ceremony on October 3, 2003, on the campus of Huntington College. Ryan Dunlap and Leah Coon received this year's crowns.
Dunlap is an elementary education major from Bluffton, Ohio. He volunteers his time with Youth for Christ and serves as a freshmen mentor at Huntington. He has also represented the College at the Rotary Club, been a member of student senate and served as a resident assistant.
Coon is an English education major from Sand Creek, Mich. She holds membership in Kappa Delta Pi (the education honor society) and Sigma Tau Delta (the English honor society). She has served as a freshmen mentor and been involved in the Huntington College Concert Choir and HC Theatre. Coon recently traveled as a cast member of Huntington College's Cotton Patch Gospel, which toured the Midwest and MidAtlantic states in a nine-week summer theatre performance.
Senior attendants of the Homecoming court included Lane Allen, a chemistry major from Richmond, Ind.; Diana Ashley, a psychology major from Fort Wayne, Ind.; Lisa Collar, an elementary education major from Adrian, Mich.; Liz Makula, an elementary education major from Claypool, Ind.; Jeff Edgel, an elementary education major from Grand Ledge, Mich.; Todd Rupp, a physical education major from Blissfield, Mich.; Kyle Shoemaker, an elementary education major from Westfield, Ind.; and Jacob Sikora, a philosophy and religious studies double major from Bryan, Ohio.
Representing the freshmen class were court attendants Chynna Wright, a graphic design major from New Philadelphia, Ohio, and Daron Short, a graphic design major from Whiteland, Ind. The sophomore class nominated Rachel Giffin, an educational ministries major from Van Wert, Ohio, and Rusty Eshleman, a church music major from St. Thomas, Pa., as their representatives. Rounding out the homecoming court were juniors Renae Flora, a psychology major from Greenville, Ohio, and Karson Motta, a Bible and Religion major from Rochester, Mass.
