Eberly to perform senior recital

Huntington, Ind.-Aaron Eberly, a Huntington University music education major from Ligonier, Ind., will present his senior recital in the Longaker Recital Hall of the Merillat Centre for the Arts on Oct. 26 at 7:30 p.m. He has participated in the university's various instrumental groups such as brass ensemble, wind ensemble, orchestra, jazz band and pep band. He also sings in the university's concert choir and has participated in the worship ensemble, Preeminence.
Eberly's recital will feature his major instrument, the trombone. His selections include a Baroque piece, Sonata V for Bassoon and Keyboard by Johann Galliard; Romantic, Piece in Eb Minor by Ropartz; Sonatina for Trombone and Piano by Serocki; a jazz piece, Reflective Mood by Nestico. Eberly has studied trombone with Bill Anders, member of the New Millennium Jazz Orchestra; Scott Hippensteel, instructor in music for Huntington University, and is currently taking lessons with David Cooke of the Fort Wayne Philharmonic.
