Formed four years ago, Eleganza is made up of professional musicians who have a passion for early music. The ensemble specializes in music from the Renaissance and Baroque periods, but frequently includes music from all ages in their concerts.

Jacquie Loomis, director of the ensemble, is proud of the group's versatility. She says Eleganza can perform everything from soup to nuts. They will back up that claim with their concert at Huntington College, which will include a variety of pieces, ranging from John Rimmer's stylized medieval Jongleurs to Paul Desmond's jazz standard, Take Five.

Eleganza musicians include Jim and Jacquie Loomis, George and Ann Donner, recorders; Wayne Peterson, harpsichord and positiv organ; Marlene Schleiffer, krumhorn and percussion; Ann Martin, viola da gamba.
