Huntington, Ind.-Huntington University's EXCEL Adult Degree Programs recently awarded half off the cost of tuition for the fall semester to Tamie Cavins, a student enrolled at the program's Wabash, Ind., site. She won the prize through a drawing at the Wabash County 4-H Fair.

Cavins is employed by the Probation Department of Wabash County and is a graduate of Northfield High School. She earned her associate degree from Michiana College in Fort Wayne, Ind., and is a mother of two.

Cavins is pursuing a bachelor's degree in business administration and began classes on Sept. 28.
