Fort Wayne mayor proclaims “Jim O’Donnell Day”

Huntington, Ind.-Fort Wayne Mayor Graham Richard issued a proclamation today declaring October 8, 2007, to be "Jim O'Donnell Day." Richard recognized the Huntington University business professor following O'Donnell's remarks at the 44th Annual Interfaith Luncheon sponsored by the Church Women United of Fort Wayne and Allen County.
The mayor's official proclamation credited O'Donnell as "a man of Christian ethics, integrity, and faith in God" and praised his teaching "which encourages students to integrate values and ethics into their professional and personal lives."
The proclamation also recognized O'Donnell for being "a devoted husband who has used his faith to help his wife overcome several life-threatening illnesses, and has written an inspiring book titled "Letters to Lizzie," which chronicles their journey through these illnesses."
O'Donnell is associate professor of business and executive-in-residence at Huntington University.
