Fort Wayne Philharmonic to perform in Huntington
Huntington, Ind. " Members of the Fort Wayne Philharmonic will perform at Huntington College's Merillat Centre for the Arts on Thursday, October 19 at 8:00 p.m. The evening will consist of Mozart's Quintet in A Major for Clarinet and Strings, K.581, Stamitz's Quartet in E-Flat Major, Op. 8, No. 2, and Britten's String Quartet No. 2 in C Major, Op. 36. Members from the Friemann String Quartet " including Hiromi Ito and Hua Jin, violins; Margaret Prechtl, viola; and Gena Taylor, cello " will perform the Britten piece. The repertoire for this concert comes from the Friemann Series which presents a variety of small ensembles.
