Graduating Visual Arts Majors Exhibit on display

Huntington, Ind. "The Huntington College Visual Arts Department is proud to present its upcoming Graduating Visual Arts Majors Exhibit to be on display April 24 through May 7, 2004. Works from seniors Scott Cooper, Nate Vandlen and Jessica Williams will be on display in the Robert E. Wilson Gallery of the Merillat Center for the Arts. An artist reception will be held on Saturday, May 1, from 6-8 p.m., at the Wilson Gallery. The public is cordially invited to attend and admission is free.
Each senior will present individual bodies of work that are a result of a one year senior project. They have each chosen mediums that represent their growth and concentration over the past four years.
Scott Cooper, a fine arts major from Huntington, Ind., worked with oil on canvas to create realistic portraiture paintings. He will also display a series of illustrations done with pencil.
Nate Vandlen, a graphic design major form Lansing, Mich., will exhibit a series of illustrations of a consumer home package, which includes a consumer blueprint, home illustration and a home tour. Vandlen will also display a redeveloped marketing communication package designed for Automated Group Administration, Inc.
Jessica Williams, a graphic design and fine arts double major from Huntington, Ind., will showcase a communication package done for Tender Loving Daycare. She will also show a series of contemporary Christian t-shirt designs that focus on Matthew 5:5-10.
