HCTV to host an open house Thursday

Huntington, Ind.- The Huntington College Communication Department invites the local community to its second annual HCTV Open House. The event will begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, with taping beginning at 7:30-8:00 PM. The HCTV studio is located on the first floor of the Merillat Centre for the Arts.

The event is designed for families and will be a valuable educational experience for school-age children and teens. Visitors will see a live taping of HCTV, which airs on the local cable television system as Channel 22 News. Guests may sit in the studio or control room, enjoy refreshments, and witness Huntington College communication students in action. Steve Platt, head men's basketball coach at Huntington College, has been invited for an interview on the set.

Broadcast communication is among nearly 50 academic concentrations available at Huntington College.
