Holiday Pops offers joyous sounds at Merillat Centre

Huntington, Ind. "On Sunday, Dec. 9, the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Orchestra will play its annual Holiday Pops concert at the Merillat Centre for the Arts at Huntington College. Tickets are limited for the 2:30 p.m. concert. The concert, presented by the Huntington College Community Arts Program, features all your holiday favorite songs, including Sleigh Ride, Winter Wonderland, The Little Drummer Boy, and the ever-popular Christmas Pops Sing-Along.
Tickets for the afternoon are $15, $13, and $11 with a $2 student and senior discount. They are available by calling the Merillat Centre Box Office at (260) 359-4261.
Major funding for this year's Holiday Pops concert at Huntington College is provided by Myers Funeral Home. Additional funding is provided by the law firm of Bowers, Brewer, Garrett and Wiley, and by Mr. Robert E. Wilson.
The Fort Wayne Philharmonic is heralded as one of the finest regional orchestras in the country. Boasting a full-time core of 44 musicians, the Philharmonic performs 80 concerts and 450 ensemble performances a year in schools, nursing homes and nutrition sites.
A lobby concert by the Huntington College Brass Ensemble from 1:30-2:15 p.m., will preview the Fort Wayne Philharmonic's seasonal sounds.
