HU Headed Back to NAIA National Tournament

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – For the second straight year, the Huntington men's tennis team is headed to the UTR Sports NAIA Men's Tennis National Championship.

The 74th annual tournament is set for May 12–16 at the Mobile Tennis Center in Mobile, Alabama, where the Foresters will look to build on their growing national presence.

Huntington earned one of 12 at-large bids and enters the 24-team field as the No. 10 seed with an impressive 20-4 record. The Foresters will open play on Tuesday, May 12, at 9:00 a.m. CT against No. 23 seed Oakland City (17-7).

The two programs are no strangers to one another. Earlier this spring, Huntington secured a 4-1 win over the Mighty Oaks, a result the Foresters will look to replicate on the national stage.

This marks the ninth NAIA postseason appearance in program history for Huntington and the second consecutive trip under the current squad.

Huntington is one of three representatives from the Crossroads League in this year's championship field. Grace College earned the league's automatic bid after capturing the conference tournament title, while Marian University joins HU as an at-large selection.

The 24-team bracket features a balanced mix of 12 automatic qualifiers and 12 at-large bids, with the latter selected by the NAIA Tennis National Selection Committee - a group of coaches and administrators from across the country.
