HU Headed to Bellevue for NAIA Opening Round

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – The postseason continues for Huntington University baseball.
Earlier today, the Foresters learned they have secured an at-large bid to the 69th annual NAIA National Championship, sending HU back to the national stage for the first time since 2019.
Huntington (39-12) heads to the Bellevue Bracket, hosted at John Stella Field, as the No. 3 seed. HU opens play against No. 2 seed IU Southeast (39-14), the River States Conference regular season champion, on May 11.
The matchup features two familiar foes. Over the last five years, Huntington and IU Southeast have met 11 times, with the Grenadiers holding a narrow 6-5 edge in the series.
The Foresters enter the opening round riding the momentum of a record-setting season that has already produced 39 wins, the most in program history. Now, they turn their focus to a national tournament run.
The Bellevue Opening Round runs May 11-14 and features a double-elimination format, with the winner advancing to the NAIA Baseball World Series in Lewiston, Idaho. Ten teams from across the country will ultimately punch their ticket to Harris Field for the championship round, set for May 22-30.
This marks Huntington's fifth appearance at an NAIA national tournament. All games will be broadcast for free on the Urban Edge Network (UEN).
