Huntington College Theatre presents Beau Jest

Huntington, Ind. " Huntington College Theatre will present the comedy, Beau Jest, in the Studio Theatre of the Merillat Centre for the Arts. Performances will begin at 8 p.m. on November 2, 3, 4 and 9, 10, 11. Beau Jest' is a delightfully funny play,' says director Paula Trimpey, newly appointed assistant professor of theatre at Huntington College. The play is about a young Jewish woman, Sara Goldman. It is Sara's desire to please everyone, especially her parents, and in doing so, she takes one jealous boyfriend, one suspicious brother and a rent-a-date man from the Heaven Sent Escort Agency and concocts a wonderful situation. It is truly a wonderful story about families and their relationships.
Tickets will go on sale to the public Wednesday, October 18, and cost $5 for adults, $4 for students and seniors. For reservations and information, contact the Merillat Centre for the Arts Box Office at (260) 359-4261.
Trimpey has a master's degree in fine arts from Wayne State University, a bachelor of arts in theatre from Messiah College, and is currently working on a master's degree in religion through Concordia Theological Seminary. Trimpey taught theatre for eight years at Dixie College in Utah, and prior to that was the Costume Shop Manager at Pomona College in California. She enjoys spending her summers as a Cutter/Draper for the Utah Shakespearean Festival in Cedar City, Utah, which recently won a Tony Award as the best regional theatre in the country.

SARA GOLDMAN: Tai Mauney, a junior English major for Anderson, Indiana.
CHRIS: John Woodruff, a sophomore Theatre major from Brookville, Ohio.
BOB: Jed Hutchison, a sophomore Theatre major from Benton, Maine.
JOEL: Troy Lazarus, a senior Theatre major from Angola, Indiana.
MIRIAM GOLDMAN: Jessica Abbott, a sophomore Elementary Education major from Roanoke, Indiana.
ABE GOLDMAN: Greg Perkins, a junior Music major from Fremont, Ohio.
