Huntington students to be featured in juried art show

Huntington, Ind.-The IPFW Visual Arts Gallery will present a juried art exhibition from Feb. 16 to March 2, featuring the work of students from IPFW, Grace College, Huntington University, Manchester College and IVY Tech Community College. Five Huntington University students will present their works.

Curator Brian Byrn of the Midwest Museum of American Art in Elkhart, Ind., selected seven works from Huntington University students to be exhibited in the Northeast Indiana College Student Art Exhibition. Daron Short, Greg Wardwall and Joshua Watson will present their photographic works. Justin Wentz will present a charcoal drawing, and Trista Watson will present a clay vessel.

The opening reception will be held Saturday, Feb. 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. The awards presentation will begin at 5 p.m. in the Visual Arts Gallery, and admission is free. The exhibition can be viewed daily in the Visual Arts Gallery from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
