Huntington to host 53rd performance of ‘Messiah’

Huntington, Ind.-The Huntington University Concert Choir and Orchestra will join forces with the Community Festival Chorus in the 53rd annual Huntington performance of Handel's "Messiah." The performance will be Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 903 N. Jefferson St., Huntington.

The public is invited, and there is no admission charge.

Dr. George Killian, assistant professor of music, will serve as conductor for "Messiah." Killian earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in music education from Anderson University. He received a Master of Music degree in choral conducting from Ball State University. In December of 2000, Killian graduated from Arizona State University with a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in choral music.
