Huntington to host high school math competition

Huntington, Ind.-Huntington University will hold a mathematics competition for high school students from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 10.

Fourteen teams comprised of approximately 80 students and representing 11 schools or homeschool organizations from Indiana and Ohio will gather in Hiner Hall in the university's Science Hall to compete for the top prizes, both individually and by team. Students begin with a 20 multiple-choice question written test, followed by a quick-response individual round. After lunch, teams will work together on one final round of questions before awarding the top honors to the three best teams and three best individuals.
