Huntington to host Visiting Executive Seminar

Huntington, Ind.-Huntington University will host a Visiting Executive Seminar on March 30 at 8:45 a.m. in the Habecker Dining Commons. The seminar brings together business leaders and Huntington University business students to discuss important issues in today's business world. Led by Jim O'Donnell, associate professor of business, and Dr. G. Blair Dowden, president of the university, this seminar will focus on the topic of executive pay.
Two opposing articles will be discussed. One of the articles, authored by Kevin Murphy, professor of finance and business economics, expresses a desire for a "hands-off" approach to society's or government's involvement in setting executives' pay. In the other article, philosophy professor Lisa Newton argues that it is high time for a good society to intervene in these matters.
