Huntington to host Visiting Executive Seminar

Huntington, Ind.-Huntington University will host a Visiting Executive Seminar on Oct. 26 at 8:45 a.m. in the Habecker Dining Commons. The seminar brings together business leaders and Huntington University business students to discuss important issues in today's business world. Led by Jim O'Donnell, associate professor of business, and Dr. G. Blair Dowden, president of the university, this seminar will focus on the U.S. economic system.
Attendees will examine two articles that recently appeared in The Wall Street Journal. The first article, from June 19 and written by Robert Barro, comments on some remarks Bill Gates made at Harvard while accepting an honorary degree from the school from which he dropped out. Gates claims that his charitable work and his charitable giving are more important to society than anything he ever did at Microsoft.

The second piece, from the June 9 edition, was written by Steven Landsberg, and, as its title promises, delivers to us "A Brief History of Economic Time."
