Huntington to host Visiting Executive Seminar

Huntington, Ind.-Huntington University will host a Visiting Executive Seminar on Oct. 30 at 8:45 a.m. in the Habecker Dining Commons.

The seminar brings together business leaders and Huntington University business students to discuss important issues in today's business world. Led by Jim O'Donnell, associate professor of business and executive-in-residence, and Dr. G. Blair Dowden, president of the university, this seminar will focus on the economic and financial crisis.

Attendees will examine two articles to frame a discussion about the current economy and its effect on businesses and families. Both pieces expand on principles in Jim Collins' new book, "How the Mighty Fall." The first is titled "'How the Mighty Fall': A Primer on the Warning Signs," and the second is "Motorola and Fannie Mae: What Went Wrong."

Attendees are invited to stay for a lunch at noon and fellowship time following the program. Attendance is free and open to the public, but reservations are required. To RSVP, preferably by Oct. 20, contact Barb Baker at (260) 359-4069.
