Huntington University senior Josh Clark authors book

Huntington, Ind.-On Oct. 2, Huntington University senior Josh Clark released his first book titled "Take my intentions: Poems of a Man in Progress" from PublishAmerica. The 120-page paperback is an accumulation of most of the poems Clark has written over the last year and a half.
After submitting his work to PublishAmerica, the same publisher that released then-Huntington University student Rachel Tinon's work in 2002, the publishing company liked what it saw and gave Clark an opportunity to break into the business.

Although writing novels is something that Clark plans to pursue in the future, he wanted to test the waters and be sure that he was capable of being an author.
"Writing poetry comes naturally for me. It is relaxing and how I unwind after a long day of classes and baseball," said Clark, a senior English education major from Archbold, Ohio.
His favorite poem is called "Under Construction." Clark describes it as the simplest poem, but to him, it holds the most meaning. From the lines "Take my intentions, make them my discipline" comes the title of the book.
"The entire book of poems deals with the concept of taking your intentions and making them produce fruit and become the discipline of your heart. All of the poems deal with my spiritual journey to do just that - get past all of my intentions to a place of discipline in my walk with Christ," Clark said.
Clark's book is being sold in bookstores around the country and on Amazon.com and BarnesAndNoble.com for $16.95.
