Industrial engineer to lecture about demand for oil

Huntington, Ind.-Huntington University's Forester Lecture Series will feature Dr. Brian Bowen, associate director of the Energy Center at Purdue University, on Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. in the Zurcher Auditorium of the Merillat Centre for the Arts.

Bowen is an industrial engineer and has served on numerous boards and commissions, such as the Indiana Energy Group, the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, and the National Energy Technology Laboratory. He also has worked with energy officials in developing nations and the United States Agency of International Development.

In a lecture titled, "Future U.S. Energy Supplies," Bowen will address the problem of the increasing worldwide demand for oil and the future of energy technology and supply in Indiana.

Huntington University presents the Forester Lecture Series each semester. The lectures are designed to bring interesting people and topics to the attention of students and the regional community. All lectures are open to the public and free of charge.
