Julie Rupp to present Senior Recital

Huntington, Ind. "Julie Rupp, a choral music education major from Addison, Mich., will present her senior recital on Saturday, October 30, at 3:00 p.m. The recital, held in the Longaker Recital Hall in the Merillat Centre for the Arts, is open to the public and admission is free. Rupp has studied voice for nine years and currently takes lessons from Joni Killian. Rupp has performed in choral ensembles including the University of Michigan's Chamber Honors Choir, as well as Huntington College's Preeminence, Women's Chorale, and Concert Choir. Rupp also performed as a soloist in the 2002 Longaker Honors Recital and 2004 Concerto Concert. On stage, she has performed as Sylvie in Oklahoma! and Edith in Pirates of Penzance. Upon graduation, Rupp will pursue a career as an elementary music teacher.
Rupp's senior recital includes works from George Frideric Handel, Antonio Caldara, Allessandro Scarlatti, Antonio Lotti, Hugo Wolf, Claude Debussy, Charles Gounod, Jean Berger, and Victor Herbert.
