Local college students present senior art exhibit

Huntington, Ind. " The Robert E. Wilson Gallery of the Merillat Centre for the Arts will present the senior art exhibition of Huntington College students Stephanie Joy Kaminski, Nicholas Allen Kerfoot, Marcie Elaine Rance, Kristin Ann Stangland, and Sara Michelle Waldrop from March 1 to April 7, 2000. A reception for the artists will be held on Saturday, March 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibition, "Expressing Completeness in Christ Through the Fingertips of Five," will include works in a variety of media. Each student is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree at Huntington College, concentrating in either graphic design or fine arts.
Ms. Waldrop is the daughter of Dave and Chris Waldrop of Syracuse, Indiana. Sara creates her artwork by interpreting images of personal interest.
Ms. Stangland is the daughter of Danny and Louise Stangland, Albion, IN. Kristin feels she measures everything that she creates by her faith in God.
Ms. Rance is the daughter of Linda Rance of Logansport, Indiana. Marcie is inspired by manmade forms, type, paper styles, and photography.
Mr. Kerfoot is the son of Patrick and Marlene Kerfoot of Arcadia, Indiana. He says that he is excited to have a chance to share the fruits of his labor with his family and friends.
Ms. Kaminski is the daughter of Wayne and Susan Kaminski of Jos, Nigeria. Through Stephanie's experience at Huntington College, she has had a growing interest in designing for interior spaces. She hopes to begin her own design business in the near future.
The Robert E. Wilson Gallery is located in the Merillat Centre for the Arts on the campus of Huntington College, 2303 College Avenue, in Huntington. The Gallery is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For further information, call (260) 359-4272
