Longaker Honors Recital to feature seven musicians

Huntington, Ind. "The Huntington College Music Department will present its Annual Longaker Honors Recital in the Zurcher Auditorium of the Merillat Centre for the Arts on Friday, February 20, 2004, at 7:30 p.m. The recital highlights the top performers of the HC Music Department, featuring seven talented musicians who were chosen in a rigorous audition process. Chosen individuals include Drew Wutke, a senior choral education major from Girard, Kan., on the piano; Rusty Eshleman, a sophomore contemporary church music major from Saint Thomas, Pa., singing baritone; Leah Coon, a senior English education major from Sand Creek, Mich., on the piano; Maria Rhodes, a sophomore choral education major from Celina, Ohio, singing soprano; Jolene Gipe, a sophomore music performance major from Columbia City, Ind., on the piano; Cathy Bennett, a freshman choral education major from Centerville, Ind., singing soprano; and Jason Lucker, a senior music performance major from Huntington, Ind., on the trumpet.
