MCA to host Fort Wayne Philharmonic’s Holiday Pops

Huntington, Ind. "The Fort Wayne Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Bradley Thachuk, assistant conductor, will present its annual Holiday Pops at Huntington College. Huntington's favorite Yuletide celebration will take place on Sunday, December 12, at 2:30 p.m., in the MCA Zurcher Auditorium. The performance is underwritten by Myers Funeral Home and Northeast Indiana Public Radio WBOI/WBNI.

The cost of tickets for the Holiday Pops at Huntington College is $15, $13, and $11, depending on seating preference. Seniors and students receive a $2 discount. The Fort Wayne Philharmonic's 480 orchestra and chamber ensemble performances are attended by more than 220,000 people. It's nine-month season is comprised of the Masterworks (full orchestra), Spectrum (Chamber Orchestra), Pops, Soundcheck, Unplugged, and Freimann Series. Since 1980, the Orchestra has won five awards for adventuresome programming" from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP). In addition, its education programs are created to inspire the love of classical music in people of all ages.
