MCA to host Sarah Masen concert

Huntington, Ind. " From her first album release in 1996, Christian artist Sarah Masen has continued to touch the very core of humanity with her down-to-earth lyrics and breathy vocals. Join her for an evening of exploration of love and loss, hope and despair, chance and providence in concert at Huntington College on Friday, November 19.

The concert is set for 7:30 p.m., in the Zurcher Auditorium of the Merillat Centre for the Arts. General seating for the public costs $10. Students and seniors receive a $2 discount. For more information or to reserve tickets for this event, contact the Merillat Centre for the Arts Box Office at (260) 359-4261.

Masen, whose work beautifully explores the everyday in a poetic and profound manner, spent this past summer touring the United Kingdom. Her fourth and latest album, The Dreamlife of Angels, was released to critical acclaim in March 2001.

This album contains songs that are born out of some of these everyday observations, a taking note of preciousness and trouble and many a moment of encouragement in my own life and all the wonderfully strange lives around me as we begin to learn how to value one another properly, said Masen, a Dove award nominee for New Artist of the Year and Pop Album of the Year in 1996.
