Melissa Cole to present Senior Recital
Huntington, Ind. " Melissa Cole, a choral music education major from Rochester, Ind., will present her senior recital on Saturday, November 2, at 3:00 p.m. The recital, held in the Longaker Recital Hall in the Merillat Centre for the Arts, is open to the public and admission is free.
Cole currently studies voice under Joni Killian. She is a member of the Huntington College Concert Choir, is an assistant to the Director and Choral Librarian, and takes part in Women's Chorale, Kappa Delta Pi Education Honor Society, and Alpha Chi Academic Honor Society. While in high school Cole was selected to the Indiana All-State Choir three times, earning top ratings in the Solo and Ensemble contest.
Cole's senior recital will include works from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johannes Brahms, Francis Poulenc, Richard Hundley, and Irving Berlin. Tina Wise, a junior choral music education major from Homer, Alaska, will accompany Cole at various parts throughout the performance. (For a complete program see below.)
