Michelson to give overview of world events

HUNTINGTON, IN " Dr. Paul Michelson, distinguished professor of history at Huntington College, will present Overview of World Events at the Huntington College Foundation breakfast on Wednesday, March 10, 2004. Michelson will share his perspectives on geo-political events happening in today's world. The public is cordially invited to attend. The breakfast will begin at 7:45 a.m., in the Habecker Dining Commons and conclude by 9:00 a.m. The cost of the breakfast is $6.00. First time attendees to the breakfast series eat free. Breakfast meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month, September through May. Dr. Michelson began his teaching career at Huntington College in 1974. He holds a Ph.D. in history from Indiana University, and specializes in East European and Russian history with a particular expertise in Romanian history and culture. He has been a three-time senior Fulbright scholar in Romania, has published widely, traveled extensively, and has been a frequent consultant to numerous agencies, including government bodies, on Romanian and East European affairs. Michelson is frequently sought by the media, such as the Voice of America, The Christian Science Monitor, and the BBC.
