O’Donnell to give economic forecast at breakfast

Huntington, Ind. "Jim O'Donnell, associate professor of business and executive-in-residence at Huntington University, will present, 2006 Economic Forecast, at the Huntington University Foundation Breakfast Series on Wednesday, January 11, 2006. O'Donnell was an executive with a national mutual fund company prior to teaching at Huntington, and since then, his annual economic prognostication has become a Breakfast Series favorite. Yogi Berra said, predictions " especially about the future " are very hard.' With all the turmoil in the world today, it may remain difficult to see some encouraging break out to the upside. But clearly, valuations are more modest, and we're getting a bit overdue for some good news, O'Donnell said.
The public is cordially invited to attend. The breakfast will begin at 7:45 a.m. in the Habecker Dining Commons and conclude by 9 a.m. The cost of the breakfast is $6. First time attendees to the breakfast series eat free. Breakfast meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month, September through May. O'Donnell received his undergraduate degree from Brown University and his master's degree in business administration from Columbia University. He is a certified public accountant and served many years as an executive in the financial services industry with such firms as Fidelity Investments and the Dreyfus Corporation in Boston and New York, respectively.
