O’Donnell to give economic forecast at breakfast

Huntington, Ind.-Jim O'Donnell will present his 2007 economic review and 2008 economic forecast as part of the Huntington University Foundation Breakfast Series on Jan. 9. His annual economic prognostication has become a breakfast series favorite. His presentation is titled "The Sub-prime Mess, Falling Dollar and Sky High Oil - Does 2008 Even Have a Future?" O'Donnell was an executive with a national mutual fund company prior to his current role as associate professor of business and executive-in-residence at Huntington University. He is a certified public accountant and served many years as an executive in the financial services industry with such firms as Fidelity Investments and the Dreyfus Corporation in Boston and New York, respectively. He earned his undergraduate degree from Brown University and his master's degree in business administration from Columbia University.
The public is invited to attend. The breakfast will begin at 7:45 a.m. in the Habecker Dining Commons and conclude by 9 a.m. The cost of the breakfast is $6. First-time attendees eat free. Breakfast meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month, September through May. O'Donnell also will give his forecast for the Columbia City Area Chamber of Commerce, Wells County Chamber of Commerce & Economic Development and Decatur Chamber of Commerce.
The Columbia City event will be held from 7:30 to 9 a.m. on Jan. 8 in the community room of Parkview Whitley Hospital, 353 N. Oak St.. Breakfast will be served, and there is no charge. RSVP by Dec. 31 to the Columbia City Area Chamber of Commerce at (260) 248-8131.
