O’Donnell to give economic forecast at breakfast

Huntington, Ind.-Jim O'Donnell will present his 2010 economic forecast as part of the Huntington University Foundation Breakfast Series on Jan. 13.

The title of his presentation will be, "Do You Have the Stomach to Invest?" O'Donnell will offer an entertaining and insightful look back at the 2009 economy and offer thoughts about what the new decade may bring. His annual economic prognostication has become a breakfast series favorite.

Copies of O'Donnell's "The Shortest Book Ever on Saving For Retirement" will be available for purchase.

O'Donnell was an executive with a national mutual fund company prior to his current role as associate professor of business and executive-in-residence at Huntington University. He is a certified public accountant and served many years as an executive in the financial services industry with such firms as Fidelity Investments and the Dreyfus Corporation in Boston and New York, respectively. He earned his undergraduate degree from Brown University and his master's degree in business administration from Columbia University.

The public is invited to attend. The breakfast will begin at 7:45 a.m. in the Habecker Dining Commons and conclude by 9 a.m. The cost of the breakfast is $6. First-time attendees eat free. Breakfast meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month, September through May. O'Donnell will also present on Jan. 12 at the Columbia City Chamber Breakfast at 8:00 a.m. at the Eagles Nest at Eagle Glen Golf Course, and again on Jan. 14 at the Wells County Chamber Breakfast at 7:30 a.m. in the Chamber building.
