O’Donnell to share economic forecast in Columbia City

Huntington, Ind.-The Huntington University Foundation will present Jim O'Donnell's "2009 Economic Forecast" in Columbia City on Jan. 13. His presentation is titled "Investing in 2009: Where Are We Now and How Did We Get Here?" The event, sponsored by Tom Bartrom and Melinda Woll of Edward Jones Investments, will be held from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the Parkview Whitley Hospital Auditorium, 353 N. Oak St., Columbia City. O'Donnell was an executive with a national mutual fund company prior to his current role as associate professor of business and executive-in-residence at Huntington University. He is a certified public accountant and served as an executive in the financial services industry with such firms as Fidelity Investments in Boston and the Dreyfus Corporation in New York City. He earned his undergraduate degree from Brown University and his master's degree in business administration from Columbia University.
O'Donnell is the author of "Letters for Lizzie" and "Walking with Arthur." In September 2008, he released "The Shortest Investment Book Ever," targeting those with 401(k) or 403(b) plans through their employers.
O'Donnell also will present his forecast to the Huntington University Foundation on Jan. 14 and the Wells County Chamber of Commerce on Jan. 15.
