Omega Psi earns Kappa Delta Pi’s ACE Award

Huntington, Ind.-Huntington University's Omega Psi chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education, has earned an Achieving Chapter Excellence Award. Members of the university chapter will accept the award at the society's Biennial Convocation in November in Louisville, Ky.
The ACE Award is given every two years, and the Omega Psi chapter previously won the honor in 2003 and in 2005. Huntington's Omega Psi was the youngest chapter ever to receive an ACE Award.
The Omega Psi chapter was chartered in 2000. Dr. Terrell Peace, professor of education, serves as the chapter counselor.
To earn the ACE award, chapters must detail their efforts to model the society's standards of programming, recognition, ideals, professional leadership and development, community outreach and fellowship. The ACE Awards program began in 1995 and recognizes only a few of the more than 600 chapters worldwide each biennium for their outstanding service and programming.
Founded in 1911, Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education, is a dynamic learning community that recognizes and enhances growth in scholars and leaders.
