One Generation launches acappella Gospel concert tour

HUNTINGTON, IN JANUARY 3, 1997 --- One Generation will tour America during Huntington College's January Term, presenting 28 performances from California to Florida. Venues will range from the Rev. Robert Schuller's Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California, to Zuni Elementary School in Scottsdale, Arizona, to the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where they will sing the national anthem to open a Griffins hockey game.

One Generation seeks to "serve God through the medium of music." They perform before diverse audiences, encouraging believers and testifying of the faithfulness of God through song and testimony.

One Generation was formed on the campus of Huntington College. The a cappella Gospel quartet describes itself as "an example of Huntington College's commitment to equipping young men and women to impact our world for Christ." The 100-year-old Christian liberal arts school is located in Huntington, Indiana.

Scott Miller, second tenor, says, "I'm excited about this trip because I've realized that ministering in song is what God wants me to do for the rest of my life. I figure this is a good way to prepare for that."

Baritone Danny Miller adds, "God has done so much in my life. Through this trip I hope to give back a portion of the talents He's given me. "
