Polly Tribolet receives Staff Member of the Year honor
Huntington, Ind. " Huntington College held its annual appreciation dinner for faculty and staff on Tuesday, May 13, 2003. Many campus community members were recognized for their service to Huntington College, while Polly Tribolet was honored with the Staff Member of the Year award.
Tribolet, the College's accounts payable clerk, was chosen by faculty and staff members at Huntington College as the Staff Member of the Year. She has served the College for five years and before receiving the award, Dr. G. Blair Dowden recognized her as someone who is always willing to help out, someone who is kind and patient when working with others and someone who is service oriented.
I was surprised to receive this honor, said Tribolet. I feel blessed to work with a campus community such as ours.
Others recognized at the banquet included Dr. Jeffrey Webb, assistant professor of history, who was selected as the Professor of the Year by the student body and awarded the honor on Forester Night the week prior. Members of the campus community who have served for five years received a Huntington College pin. Those individuals included Mark Green, Jeff Lehman, Sandy Marion, Gary Newton, Terrell Peace, Michael Rowley, John Sanders, Michael Tribolet, Polly Tribolet, Cindy Vezeau and Jan Yost.
Plaques for ten years of service were presented to Jeff Berggren, Beth Burch, Lance Clark, Rebecca Coffman, Bill Fisher and John Paff. An engraved pen and pencil set for 15 years of service were given to Karol Caley, Martha Smith, Linda Taylor and Connie Updike.
Patricia Spedden, Cynthia Steury and Anita Wickersham were presented a cash gift for 20 years of service. For 30 years of service, Sharon Custer was given a lamp, and for 35 years of service to the College, Gerald Smith was presented a cash gift.
