Public invited to join in ‘Messiah’ rehearsals

Huntington, Ind.-The Huntington University Concert Choir invites the public to join the choir as members combine with the Huntington University Orchestra to rehearse for their 52nd annual performance of Handel's "Messiah."

Rehearsals will be held at the Merillat Centre for the Arts from 7-8:30 p.m. on Oct. 30 and Nov. 6, 13, 20 and 27 with a dress rehearsal from 1:30-4:30 p.m. on Dec. 2 at Crestview Middle School, 1151 W. 500 N., Huntington.

The Watkins Shaw (Novello) score will be used. Members of the public may bring their own copies, or scores will be available for purchase at a cost of $8.50.

The "Messiah" performance will be 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 3 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 903 N. Jefferson St., Huntington. Dress for the performance for the ladies will be a black dress and for the men will be a dark suit with a white shirt and dark tie.
